This breakfast meeting, in the City of London, goes beyond Clarity’s usual focus on how to achieve clarity in law and legal communication. This time, we will discuss why clarity and the law are so important. What is the role of law – “wholesale” law about corporations, trade, finance, tax and legal sysems, as well as the law applicable to individual people? Why does the population need to be on side about what is really happening in the law?

Leading the discussion is Philip Wood QC, author of 19 books including The Fall of the Priests and the Rise of the Lawyers, recently retired after many years of practice at Allen & Overy.
